The Soul Country Music Star season two finale will feature the nation’s top Black country artists, who have battled through regional competitions to earn their place in Hollywood to compete for $10,000 in cash, exclusive prizes, national recognition, and the title of Soul Country Music Star Champion.

2025 contestants that will be performing at the festival. 

Katrice Feild (Memphis)
A powerhouse soprano with 30+ years of vocal and piano experience, Katrice blends classical, gospel, jazz, R&B, and country with soul-stirring finesse. A member of the Memphis Symphony Chorus and Memphis Black Arts Alliance, she has performed everything from Handel’s Messiah to the music of Yolanda Adams and Shania Twain.

Ghuan Featherstone (Los Angeles)
An Urban Cowboy from South Central LA, Ghuan brings a soulful, heartfelt sound shaped by a life of struggle, resilience, failure, and triumph. His music reflects both his creativity and his journey.​

Nathaniel Dansby (Atlanta)
Born in Alexander City, Nathaniel grew up in a musically gifted family of six siblings known as the Dansby 5, reminiscent of the Jackson 5. Performing publicly since age five with The Little Gospel Wonders, he has captivated audiences with powerful harmonies at churches, revivals, and conferences across the South.

Redd Faye (Fort Worth)
Rooted in a rich musical heritage and inspired by her uncle, country legend Stoney Edwards, Redd carries forward a family legacy passed down from her great-grandmother, a music teacher. After winning Best New Country Artist of the Year in Texas and performing widely under Stoney’s management, she returned to Oklahoma to embrace her roots. Her journey reflects resilience, heritage, and the enduring power of music.

Everett Stora (DC/Maryland)
Born in Jamaica and raised in the Cayman Islands, Everett felt a deep connection to U.S. southern culture. Influenced by Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, Charley Pride, Reba, and Travis Tritt, he began writing songs in 1999 after years in a gospel choir. Since moving to Nashville in 2008, he has built a reputation for high-energy performances, powerful stage presence, and his debut album Way Back.

Kayla Epps (Wildcard Pick -Washington, DC / Maryland) 

Born and raised in Fort Washington, Maryland, Kayla Epps is a rising American country artist with pure, soulful tones and powerhouse vocals. Coming from a musical family, she blends her roots with modern country influences to create a sound uniquely her own. Singing since age two, Kayla went on to earn a music degree and audio engineering certification from Howard University, cementing her place as one of country music’s next big voices.
